A Status Update on the Red River Valley

The most recent edition of the Red River Valley published October 1, 2016.  We have continued to work very closely with Wild Apricot to ensure that the RRV is published in a timely manner that is accessible to the membership in a format that is easy to browse.  In fact, we have been working closely enough with Wild Apricot that while working to publish this edition, we helped them identity and locate "bugs" in the system that will allow them to update and improve their product at the same time we serve the Music Therapy community in the southwestern region.

We have continued to include interviews with Music Therapists in the region, thanks to the diligence and hard work of Karen Sholander.  If you know of a Music Therapist, or a professional in a related field, that you would like to see interviewed in a future edition, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Over time we plan to continue to introduce new columns and content in the Red River Valley to inform and inspire the membership.  We aim to involve students, by featuring an "Ask an MT-BC" column in which students may (anonymously, if desired) submit a question relating to the practice of music therapy, and have that question answered in print by a board certified music therapist with experience in the subject area.  We have reached out to our student members and will continue to encourage them to send queries our way.

The next edition of the Red River Valley will be released in winter 2017. The deadline for content submission for the winter newsletter will be January 20, 2017, for publication February 1, 2017.
