A friendly check in & reminder about the upcoming 2019 SWAMTA Conference!
(1) HOTEL: A few of you have let me know that you've had issues with the link for booking a hotel room and it telling you that there are no rooms available. There are still have plenty of rooms-however this issue has been happening because the hotel only has a limited number of rooms with two queen-sized beds. I have been in contact with the hotel multiple times about this and currently there are more double queen rooms available (and plenty of one-king size bed rooms). We are not out of rooms so PLEASE still book a room to stay at our conference hotel. In the contract we sign with the hotel we agree to book a certain number of rooms by March 6, and when we do not met that amount we incur a fee to cover the amount. You are helping SWAMTA by staying at the hotel, so please let me know if you have any issues and know that I am doing the best I can to work with the hotel on this problem.
You can book your hotel room by clicking on this link! : Sheraton-2019 SWAMTA Hotel Room
(2) CMTEs: We have almost 70 people signed up for our Advocacy In Action Bootcamp, which is great! Reminder that there is no limit on the number of people who can attend this event, but to guarantee a spot for transportation between the hotel and capitol, we need you to sign up prior to Feb. 21. We really hope you can join us for our advocacy boot camp, but if not there are other CMTEs you can still attend! Please note that CMTE E will actually be held Thursday March 28 (not Wednesday) from 1:00-4:00.
(3) REGISTRATION: Online pre-registration will close on March 6! This date was chosen to line up with our deadline for booking hotel rooms-if you're having any issues with registration, please don't hesitate to email me directly at email@example.com
I think that's all for now! Things are continuing to come together and I really hope you'll be able to join us to Connect Through Advocacy!
