Having just returned from our national conference, I want to let you know that things are still well on their way as we are #LookingForwardToLubbock! Today's post is to tell you a little bit more about how our hotel was chosen.
When hosting a conference, one of the first steps is contacting the city and submitting a Request For Proposal (RFP). This will inform the city of details for your event, and based on that information hosting sites will give a you bid in return. This year for Lubbock we received 3 bids, and ultimately the MCM Eleganté Lubbock came out the winner. The MCM was selected not only because they were able to offer us our top choice of dates, but also because of it's affordability.
MCM Eleganté not only has free parking, and free airport transportation, but the room rates also include a free hot breakfast. They even have an omelet station!
We know cost is a huge factor that comes in play when looking at attending any conference, so please know we think about all these things when planning a conference. And we really hope to see you in April at the MCM Eleganté in Lubbock!
